Break The Silence are committed to working in partnership with others to benefit Survivors of Rape and Childhood Sexual Abuse. Detailed below are some of our partnership commitments and we would be delighted to explore new opportunities for partnership working.
Break The Silence work in partnership with East and North Ayrshire Councils to provide a rape and childhood sexual abuse counselling service for age 13+ in both local authority areas.
We are the first Scottish member of the Male Survivor Partnership UK , a consortium of UK organisations supporting male Survivors of sexual abuse, rape and sexual exploitation, who have come together to create better and quality assured support in the UK.
We work in partnership with a range of funders including many Trusts and Foundations. Details of all our current funders can be found here.
We are a partner in the East Ayrshire Violence Against Women Partnership (EAVAWP), formed to bring together individuals and organisations who can provide a comprehensive partnership response to violence against women. We are also a partner in the North Ayrshire Violence Against Women Partnership (NAVAWP).
We represent Survivors at the Scottish Government Parliamentary Cross-Party Group for Adult Survivors of Childhood Sexual Abuse, meeting with other Survivor agencies and agencies with an interest in this area of work from across Scotland. The purpose of this Cross-Party Group is to establish a forum for debate, with an agreed specific programme of targets and action on the issue of childhood sexual abuse, its long term effects and links with mental health problems, physical health and well being, alcohol and drug misuse, physical abuse, domestic violence and homelessness.
We are in regular contact with other Survivor agencies in order to share and transfer knowledge.
We work in partnership with many agencies including public and third sector organisations who refer Clients to our service for support. If you would like to become a referral agency then please contact us to register.
We also work in partnership with Future Pathways. Future Pathways offers help and support to people who were abused or neglected as children while they were living in care in Scotland. We work together to help Survivors access person-centered support that will help Survivors to lead full, healthy and independent lives and find their own pathways to a positive future. Break The Silence are a registered provider.
